Try it with your dates

How it works

  • Every gas appliance, pipe and flue you own is checked at least once every 12 months.

  • The tenant gets a copy within 28 days, and a new tenant gets the current record before moving in.

  • A check done in the two months before the deadline keeps the old anniversary.

Your dates, on a line

Example: Last check Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Small ticks are the earlier reminders we send before each date.

Do

  • Book for the month before, every year, so the date never drifts.
  • Keep each record until two more checks have been done.
  • If the tenant will not let the engineer in, write, offer dates, keep copies.

Do not

  • Let the check slip: a late one moves the anniversary earlier for good.
  • Forget the copy: the 28 days start on the day of the check.
  • Answer "no gas" if there is any gas appliance or flue you own.
